Mesut Özil - germany - The Werder playmaker has probably caught just about everyone's eye at this point. Player of the tournament in my humble opinion.
Alexis Sanchez- Chile- Chile's honorable exit at the hands of Brazil shouldn't spoil what was a solid tourney from them. Even down 3-0 they still kept going and stuck to their guns. I thought this winger was the most impressive of their lot. He plays for Udinese
Fabio Coentrão- portugal - the benfica left back was a bright spot in portugal's otherwise uninspired team. You can't blame a left back for not scoring goals, and he really was a terror flying down the left flank.
Clemente rodriguez- argentina - He probably wont get another game because he's stuck behind Heinze, but Clemente Rodriguez is the case and point of how deep countries like Argentina are. They probably have about 20 more world class left backs on the streets of buenos aires that would take poor old johnny borenstein's milk money on the way to sunday school. He plays for Estudiantes.
