isn't a hull a part of a ship

i was lucky enough to watch arsenal's humbling at the hands of hull at a pub with some men who happened to actually be from Hull, in prague...what are the odds. anyway, I just can't bear to watch whenever Arsenal concede a corner. the other team scores about half of the time, no joke. do i need to berate Gallas again? It was his fault in Kyiv. It was his fault for the corner, and it was his antics at Birmingham that showed the world his true colors and what he really is: a fo-hawked crybaby.

At least there is no shortage in good football as I have to kiss another Oriole losing season goodbye. I'm gonna miss seeing Jaime Walker throwing that 82mph spinner a la Dave Ogburn, that any Thomas Dodson could yank out of the park. And did Raindor Beird even once not allow an inherited runner to score? I'd be curious to know, because there has to be some kind of statistic for that.

Anyway, at least I'm not a Spurs & or Newcastle fan. What a mess those two clubs are.

Randor Bierd inherited 39 runners this year, 21 of which eventually came around to score. That's a .538 conversion rate folks.

To put that in context:

Mariano Rivera 4/20 .200
John Paps 4/30 .133
K-Rod 7 - 18 .389
Hong-Chih Kuo 2-20 .100

Just be glad he's not Juan Rincon, who in 55.1 IP this year inherited 18 runners, 15 of which he allowed to score (.833)

wow, nice work statboy. i can't believe that 18 didn't score. sure seemed like it. anyway, maybe the yankees will pick up chris britton and jaime walker, to go along with BROONEY! UGH! and that will push you into the playoffs. hope you remember my WS pick on opening day... it was, the Chicago White Sox

I'm counting on Cluj to give something up here in the 82'

Dave Ogburn shoutout? incredible. I hope ESPN realizes they need you writing for them

Nah, Ogburn was solid for those pesky Shaheen & Shaheen law firm A's. Cluj is too solid. Ioana says she saw their right back "Tony" at this restaurant one time. But its just a little podunk town in the middle of the mountains, amazing what they've done so far.
