Phillies Rays, yeesh. that just doesn't feel right. kind of like that heat mavs series a few years ago. can't write them off yet, but all those idiot red sox fans that thought they didn't need manny are gonna be changing that tune of, "I don't really care too much about the C's.." and start being basketball fans pretty quick.
It looked like Spain were pretty lucky to beat a legitimate Belgian squad last night after they had a good goal disallowed, and Villa didn't score til the 87th min. Its funny how the groups shape up though. There are a couple that are absolutely nonsensical. Poor old Malta, stuck in there with Hungary, Albania (2 not bad teams) and Sweden, Denmark, and Portugal. Take 4 of those and you have a legitmate European Championship group right there.
Then you have the Greece and Swiss group, or the Czecho-Slovak Polish group, or even the England group. It hardly seems fair, and I don't see why they don't just seed all 30something teams and make the groups like that. It seems to work in the NCAAs.
Thank god for Wieters, someone to look forward to finally for us annually dejected o's fans. He's tearing it up in the Arizona Fall League, check it out statboy.

He's already a lock for my starting catcher next year. You guys would be (to the tune of the Joseph Smith episode) Dumb-da-dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb to start his arbitration clock early and not pull a Longoria and keep him down there for a month.

as for the red sox, they get what they deserve. they'd still have the curse over their heads if it werent for manny. i hope they get a new curse, "the curse of manny" and dont win another world series for 100 years. idiots
