Your USA vs Argentina thoughts

I didn't watch all of the US Argentina match, but from what I saw, it looked to be the opposite of the Spanish match. Argentina carving us open in the first, and then losing interest in the second. A good result for us no doubt, but I can still count our goals in those three matches (England,Spain,Argentina) on Jim Abbot's right hand. Something Needs to be done up top, Altidore anyone? What would your guy's preffered 11 be for qualifiers (assuming altidore is healthy) here's mine.

Altidore
Adu
Beasley Donovan Dempsey
Mastroeni
Bocanegra Onyewu Demerit Cherundolo
Howard

Went to the US-Argentina game last night. First off, absolutely fantastic atmosphere. Did a bit of tailgating before the game and it was refreshing to see that there are true fans of the US out there.(Even though we were outnumbered 3 to 1) On that note, we really need to come up with something, anything, better than repeatedly chanting "USA" over and over. Are we really so inept as fans that we can't come up with ANYTHING else?
As for the game, we got absolutely worked in the 1st half and we have only Tim Howard to thank for heading into halftime with the score 0-0. The double save was the highlight of the evening for me.
Second half was a different story as the Argentine's backed off and seemed content to knock the ball around while we chased. Thought Adu should have come on much earlier if not played the entire 90 minutes. Donovan was the surprise of the match for me. Held the ball up nicely on our counters and delivered some great balls to our wingers streaking down the flanks. I also would have liked to have seen Eddie Lewis come on earlier as he's the only winger we have who consistently can deliver a good ball into the center.
My starting 11
dempsey
adu donovan
beasley bradley mastroeni
lewis bocanegra onyewu demerit
howard

Maybe not the exact formation but i think these are our best 11 players

I'd like to see us lose the double destroyer CM set up that Bradley has fallen in love with lately. (Baby Bradley hasnt really done much to impress me on the int'l stage and I dont understand why he's an autostart each time out...) Whether that be inserting Donovan, Dempsey, or even Kljestan into the starting CM, I'm all for it (however i prefer Donovan in a slot where he can use his pace) Here's my proposed lineup:

Adu Dempsey
Donovan
Beasley Edu Kljestan
Pearce Boca Gooch Cherundolo
Howard

Bench: Bradley, Altidore, Rico, Kenny Cooper, Demerit

I'd also like to see some of Bornstein and Convey on the left side once they return from injury. Ditto for Frank Simek at Right back

i think wellington has the lineup close with the exception of kljestan. i could almost see dempsey going to right midfield and altidore to go up top with both adu and donovan playing right in behind him. a classy 4-3-2-1 if you ask me...

and bradley should stick to the U-21 futbol for a while.
